The Secret Formulas for Success

Welcome to The Outlier Mindset!

Here is 1 visual, 1 insight, and 1 question for you to consider this week…

One Visual

One Insight

Success is less about your talents and more about the effort you put in and taking advantage of the opportunities and resources when they present themselves.

Effort is Directly Proportional to Success

You build your own opportunities with the amount of effort you put in. Picture it as a direct relationship – the more effort you invest, the more luck you have, the higher the chances of success.

It's easy to talk about making improvements, building new habits, and driving growth, but the true test comes when you have to execute and stay consistent.

Become aware of where your life is headed if you don’t put in the work to get the results you seek. Take the time to answer the question, “What do you want to do with your life?”

Fake it Till You Make it

Everyone has imposter syndrome at some point in their life.

You may think you’re unqualified or incompetent in achieving the results that are set out for you.

However, no matter in what position you are in life, how big or small your role is, you will always feel that imposter syndrome.

  • The CEO of a large company experiences imposter syndrome.

  • The intern experiences imposter syndrome.

  • A person giving advice online experiences imposter syndrome (aka me).

This is where having a strong and confident mindset comes into play. What you think, you attract.

If you think of yourself as someone small, insecure, and full of fear, people will see you exactly as that.

If you think of yourself as someone confident and capable, your behavior changes, and you start seeing the impossible as possible. You attract opportunities and challenges that can help you level up quicker.

However, don’t let it get over your head. Everything is done in moderation.

Dare to be Different

It’s important to learn and study the greats, but we pay too much attention to what they are like and try to replicate their path to success.

Everyone’s situation is different. No one has the same circumstances, resources, and opportunities.

Your journey is uniquely yours. What works for one may not work for another. Embrace your knowledge and creativity. This can propel you to heights you couldn’t imagine yourself in.

The road less traveled often leads to the most extraordinary destinations.

One Question

Think of a situation where you did something for the first time in your life. Whether it was becoming a parent, doing a new task at work, or simply learning to ride a bike.

You didn’t think you were capable at first, but as you did it more and more, you felt comfortable doing that task.

What small, consistent effort can you start implementing today to build the path you desire?
