The Value of Trying a Different Path
ONE VISUAL
ONE INSIGHT
Achieving a goal in life is often tied to exploring different paths rather than simply working harder.
The Navigation Map to Success
We treat our lives and goals as if they were linear and unidirectional processes. However, life is more like a navigation map, often showing different paths to the same destination. This is important to note since no matter where you are on the map; there is a path where some work has already been done that would help us get closer to our destination. That work can either be an effort someone else has done where you can simply be guided by it, or it can also be the work you have put in that has given you a skill or experience.
Success is a journey. Not a destination.
Not all the roads we will need in life are complete. This serves as a reminder that you can strategically navigate to find a solution if you don’t see a clear path to your goals. However, it is often overlooked that we may be looking for a shortcut around something that is required. While efficiency is important, it's crucial to balance finding more efficient ways of doing things and completely bypassing necessary steps.
ONE QUESTION
Think of the goals you’re working on this year. Are you doing what is required, or are you looking for a shortcut?
